The Federal Government's establishment of a National Resource Sector Employment Taskforce has been welcomed by the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia (CME).

CME Chief Executive Reg Howard-Smith said: "There is no doubt we are entering a period where demand for skilled workers will be a fact of life for the WA resources sector."

CME recently released a major study which highlighted the anticipated growth in the WA resources sector, along with the people required to fill the new jobs that will be created.
